About breathing was conceived and constructed in Canfestis in Northern Spain. It is a collaboration based on gathering what sounds were available in that place, in that time. This included live recordings of ambient sounds, field recordings and short wave radio samplings. These source materials were then manipulated and processed into new pieces of sound data and assembled as sample loops and phrases which were then further manipulated and re-processed during a live dialogue. About breathing is music created from the air and the airwaves. Limited edition of 500 copies on CD only. [press-release]
