Emil Maťko aka Strom Noir is a legend in a European experimental scene with numerous releases on such renowned labels as Dronarivm, Winter-Light, Cosmic Winnetou, Rural Colours, Sacred Phrases, Talem and Hibernate under his belt. He has been creating cinematic ambient stories for almost 20 years now, and "Jouska" is his eighteenth full-lenght album. It is also his first double album with 11 compositions clocking in at 117 minutes in total. They possess meditative, almost drone-like features. These minimalist pieces complement each other in a perfect way to form one cohesive form best enjoyed in a single sitting. "Jouska" is a suitable double album for long winter evenings.
