More Info

ESO STEEL is a one-man project from New Zealand (currently residing in Japan), that immediately got our attention while listening to some CDR-releases. The project is known for their very limited hand-cut vinyl-releases, cassettes and CDRs where loops & samples were mixed with field recordings and real instruments. On this EP ESO STEEL solely uses pure field recordings of “machines, natural events and settings and mic'd up body movements..”. They are used and processed to create very dense and compact drone-sounds, that are again put together in a very suspenseful, concrete but floating way – the clearness & dynamic of the sounds are truly unique in our opinion! A new dimension of drones ! WHITE VINYL. SCREEN PRINTED HANDMADE RICE PAPER COVERS.
