Diese, wie alles bei Leif Elggren & Kent Tankred, hintersinnige Frohe Botschaft ist Teil der DVD The Sons of God (FYDVD1001), die einem die Augen aufgehen lsst ber die Magie der beiden schwedischen Prtendenten auf den Himmelsthron auf Erden. Ihr zentraler Zauber ist ein ritueller Tanz, den sie bei Dance auffhren in einem achteckigen panoptischen alten Anatomiesaal, mit spastischen, zeitlupigen Verrenkung, bis zur Erschpfung, bis das Telefon klingelt. Dieser seltsame Totentanz zweier lterer Mnner im Sonntagsanzug kehrt wieder in Before the Miracle, einfach in einem leeren Raum, und in Transients, in einer Rohbauruine. Seine quasi Beckettsche Endform findet dieser Tanz in The ons of God Perform a Miracle, der in einer Duo- und einer Quartettversion zu sehen ist. Sieche Grauhemden, Kandidaten fr ein Lourdes-Wunder, winden sich in extremer Zeitlupe aus ihren Sthlen und sinken wieder zusammen. Dazu gibt es Tnze mit eisernen Besen (New Way), besonders sakral und erhaben als Version im Grand Theater in Bourges und, genial simpel, The Sons of God Drive Chairs. Besonders mysteris jedoch ist The Arm, ein, anders als die von Noise gepeitschten Tnze, lautlos ausgefhrter Schnitt an Tankreds Oberarm, im Chiaroscuro alter Meister visualisiert. Sound objects, pre-recorded compositions, physically demanding movements, the voice, the staged meetings and conditions, the objects: all of this constitutes the foundation for an attempt to achieve those obscure moments where daily life unites itself with the heroic nature of our inner lives."
This DVD includes a selection of works by the group The Sons of God (Leif Elggren and Kent Tankred) from the years 1988-2007 - video documentations of performances as well as films and slideshows, in all over two hours of material. The DVD also includes a full colour 24 page booklet with texts by Daniel Rozenhall.
