"Currently a member of Coil, and also Kate Radley's replacement in Spiritualized, keyboard wizard Thighplusandra releases his debut solo album. He is joined by Julian Cope and his friends from Coil amongst many others.

It's a varied trip into the avant-garde. Thighpaulsandra certainly likes to explore many musical spheres so expect a rather schizophrenic album! It's dark electronic opener 'Lycraland' is basically a barrage of experimental sounds but - wait for it - with many melodies thrown in. Imagine the dark middle instrumental parts of Spiritualized turned into a whole concept and you're halfway there. It then goes on to the mega jazzy 'The Angelica Declaration'. 'Optical black' is the closest to Coil this becomes as it features John Balance and Peter Christopherson. It's a whispery whirlwind of a tune with Balance's usual weird-effect-infested vocals!!! It's a pleasure to the ears, believe me. That is the standout track to this double CD. Unfortunately Julian Cope doesn't sing but it's certainly worth your while checking this out."
