The original album consisted of a mix of archive tracks from the late 1960s / early 1970s and new tracks specially recorded for the release. Many people see Formen Letzter Hausmusik as the first 'real' Tietchens album laying the basis of what was about to follow in his long recording career and therefore vote this album among the most important and best Tietchens works.
