More Info

"180 gram 2LP - double gatefold + printed inner with liner notes / photos. An essential piece in European progressive rock of the seventies, this live album by Henry Cow, finally reissued on double vinyl with updated content and rare and unseen photos! The album opens with their amazing 1975 Peel Session, featuring a sequence of incredible classics like "Beautiful as the Moon" and "Nirvana for Mice", along with their stunning version of Matching Mole's "Glory Gloom".

It continues with extracts from their historic London concert in May of 1975, featuring guest Robert Wyatt (who plays an intense version of his "Little Red Riding Hood" taken from his classic Rock Bottom LP), then slowly delves deep into "free form" improv with excerpts from concerts in Oslo (Norway), Udine (Italy) and Groningen (Netherlands).

The Cow are definitely in full form on this immense classic! Dagmar Krause (vocals), Lindsay Cooper (bassoon, flute, oboe) Fred Frith (guitar), Tim Hodgkinson (organ, clarinet, alto sax), John Greaves (bass) and Chris Cutler (drums)." [label info]
