More Info

"Vertonen has been my (Blake Edwards) solo project since 1991; this is my fifth full-length CD release, and the fourth to be supported by the Chicago CAAP grant program. This release comes on the heels of several anticipated recordings (all of which are, oddly split LPs) and right before a short set of tours in California and Ohio. This is the first solo Vertonen release since 2008's well-received 'Stations.' About the release: These recordings are the fruit of a two-year process of extracting and modifying material originally recorded in 1978. All resulting audio was solely generated from this source material. The concept behind this CD stemmed from my interest in reassessing the idea of brainwashing' and how misperceptions that are easier to accept can easily and dangerously corrode and, worse, override the realities of the original event. For fans of: John Watermann, John Duncan, Chop Shop, Nurse With Wound, Hafler Trio." [label info]
