“The first Cirque concert took place in France on May 1994 during the Festival Futura. The accordion playing in this recording was carried out by Jean-Luis Matigner. A curious sound scape related to circus-like scenes with motives of insistent accumulative image scratching which disappear and come back in an elaborated rhythmic system. The pace of the whole piece is permeated by certain narrative mysteriousness.” [label info]
