“Deficit Des Annees Anterieures (DDAA) is a musical formation created in 1978 by three plasticians (Sylvie martineau, Jean-Philippe Fee and Jean-Luc André). From their origin, the group claimed an essentially hybrid character and a capacity to move in different musical soundscapes. This thing that strongly influenced the music of DDAA is based on the accumulation and collage of sources, parasitic melody, improvisation, détournement... this musical de-territorialisation DDAA has called maracayace.
