"Die 1982 geborene Hildur Ingveldardóttir Gudnadóttir, Cellistin und Komponistin, hat schon einen großen Katalog von Kollaborationen und verschiedenen Projekten zu bieten, darunter z.B. mit der bekannten isländischen Band múm, und Guest Appearances bei den finnischen Pan Sonic. Nachdem sie Musik und Neue Medien in Rejkjavik und an der Universität der Künste in Berlin studiert hat, tritt sie in Island ,Kitchen Motors" bei, das als Label, Kunstgemeinschaft und Denkfabrik in der neu-isländischen Szene aktiv ist. Ihr neues Album "Leyfdu Ljosinu" (isländisch für 'Lasse das Licht zu') wurde im Januar 2012 live im Music Research Center der Universität New York aufgenommen. Das Konzert, das ohne Publikum stattfand, wurde von Tony Myatt mit einem SoundField ST450 Ambisonic Microphon und zwei Neumann U87 Microphonen aufgezeichnet. Um Zeit und Raum gerecht zu werden - elementaren Punkten für die Bewegung von Klängen - wurde dieses Album in Gänze live eingespielt, ohne eine nachträgliche Verfälschung der Recordings.//

Hildur Gudnadottir's new album 'Leyfdu ljosinu' (Icelandic for 'Allow the light'), was recorded live at the Music Research Centre, University of York, in January 2012 by Tony Myatt, using a SoundField ST450 Ambisonic microphone and two Neumann U87 microphones.
