"Utom Alla are David Gülich and Johan Lenason from Malmö in Sweden. Raised from the ashes of 'Yind' this duo produced one of the most extreme releases on U-cover ever. With their own recording studio in the deep woods of southern Sweden they create basic tracks from acoustic instruments, gadgets and equipment found all over the world. 'Älskade sjukdom', their stumming debut, contains thirteen tracks of multiple organic styles layered, processed and manipulated through computer software. With the vocal input from Elin Almered (aka Little Death) and Janina Frank the music has a complex horrorish air that comes very close to the beauty of Deaf Center and contains traces of Earth and Sonic Youth. Because of the lack of beats and the unconventional tuning of their instruments Utom Alla sounds like the perfect ambient soundtrack for the cold and dark winter nights yet to come.
